Ladieswear Tailored Suits

Ladieswear is relatively new to Carl Stuart in comparison to our menswear. For nearly 100 years Carl Stuart Tailors had only crafted Men’s suiting.  As proud flag bearers of the Yorkshire Tailoring industry and history and the creator of the British Made to Measure suit, it was high time that we offered the same for Ladies. Women’s suiting is now a strong part of our garment tailoring portfolio. We are delighted to offer the complete range of city business suiting, formalwear encompassing dinner tuxedo suits and evening 3 piece tailcoat suits, country wear including tweed jackets, and skirts, as well as our full shooting waistcoats. 

Carl Stuart is proud of the fact that our ladies suiting is, in fact, a unique ladies suiting cut and design, and not altered from a mens cut.  Unfortunately, most others have taken this path. Once you wear one of our tailored pieces, you may wish to replace your entire wardrobe with Carl Stuart creations designed by you. 

We used the tried and true tailoring techniques to ensure that the durability and cut of the suit would be at the same high standard but designed for a lady's unique figure.  Therefore, over the last 3 years we have worked quite passionately to achieve this goal and we are proud to offer the everyday tailored suit, country including shooting, and formal suiting. All of these options are both offered in made to measure or bespoke tailoring.

Our Ladies suiting has been designed, cut, and stitched by our Yorkshire-based tailoring team.  We have gone through a minimum of 60 prototypes to cover all garments and needs whilst spending over a year testing out every type of cloth, weight, and cut to ensure that the fit never fails, and the figure always holds. It takes up to 40 measurements, 12 photos and 2 fittings to accurately make this luxurious garment to complement your personality.
