Bringing It Home…Yorkshire Factory Showroom Opens Its Doors
Carl Stuart Tailors, a cherished part of Yorkshire’s rich history and a proud testament to the region’s manufacturing heritage, has been operating from Ossett, West Yorkshire, since 1929. For decades, the suiting and shirt-making process took place in separate locations across Yorkshire, but now, for the first time, these two worlds have come together under one roof. The doors are officially open on the new shop and showroom, where clients can now shop and see their garments being created by hand—from scratch—right in the heart of the workshop.
Carl Stuart Tailors takes immense pride in being one of the last tailoring workshops outside of London to craft Made to Measure and Bespoke suits and shirts entirely in-house, from start to finish. The tight-knit, highly skilled team of tailors and artisans work together to create every garment with precision and care, ensuring a level of craftsmanship that is rare to find in today’s tailoring industry.
One of the driving factors behind relocating the showroom into the factory space was the growing demand from clients who wanted to see, firsthand, where their bespoke garments were being made. Now, visitors can take a guided tour of the workshop, meet the talented team members who cut, sew, and press the cloth, and witness the skill and attention to detail that goes into each piece. It’s an invitation to experience not only the final product but the craft, heritage, and passion that go into every stitch at Carl Stuart Tailors.
